Yukino Miyazawa
She is a high school freshman who is the daughter of Hiroyuki and Miyako Miyazawa. At a young age, Yukino got addicted to being praised for her accomplishments, popularity, attention, and admiration. She spent all of her time and effort into creating this perfect model student identity for others to see. This queen of vanity worked extremely hard so she was always number one, until she met Souichiro Arima.
Souichiro Arima
He is a classmate of Yukino's. Souichiro's biological parents were abusive, lying people who blackmailed others. They left their family with a huge debt and Souichiro, and mysteriously disappeared. Souichiro was then adopted my his aunt and uncle, who are a wealthy, high-class family with an outstanding history in the medical profession. Most of his family believe that he will end up just like his parents and wouldn't amount to anything. To prove them wrong, Souichiro made himself flawless so he wouldn't bring shame to his current parents. Then he met Yukino, who made him realize that he shouldn't hide his true self.
Hideaki Asaba
He's the second most popular guy in high school next to Souichiro. Hideaki uses his good looks and suave attitude to attract as many girls as possible. He plans to use Souichiro to get more girls, but he decides not to after he sees how much he and Yukino love each other. At first, Hideaki and Yukino hate each others guts, but then he had a change of heart became the best of friends with her and Souichiro.
Tsukino Miyazawa
She's Yukino's younger sister. Tsukino finds that her older sister is quite weird and gets very amused at the show she puts on at school, and how she really is a home.
Kano Miyazawa
She's the youngest member of the Miyazawa family. Kano is considered the smartest in the family in the way of relationships. All she reads is romance comics and novels to gain her expertise.
