Mano Yohko
She is the 16 year old 108th generation mamono hunter. She transforms into her red silk dress using her Yoma ring given to her by Madoko, her grandmother. It's worn on her left hand, and it is the source of Yohko's power. The ring has healing properties, and has the power to control time, and it can also help Yohko generate a powerful blast at her enemies. Her braided hoops hair style is kept up by ornaments made from a magical stone called Shimi-Seki, that alerts her when danger is coming, and it also focuses and increases Yohko's inner powers. Together with the ring, Yohko can use a psi-web that keeps demons from moving. Yohko also has a Soul Sword. This is a 2-piece sword so the long blade can be detached which becomes a thing that looks like an axe. She can also call for her sword to go back to her if separated.
Mano Madoka
She is Yohko's grandmother, and the 107th generation mamono hunter. Just like Yohko, she got her power from the Yoma ring. Madoka hides a mamono shrine under the Mano house that is accessed by a computer which sends an elevator down to the shrine room. There are many portraits of the previous generation mamono hunters. Also, there is a clock which seals a powerful demon, Tokima, from gaining full power.
Mano Sayoko
She is Yohko's mother. According to Madoka, Sayoko's mother, before becoming a mamono hunter, a girl must be pure of mind and body. Sayoko married and had Yohko at an early age, before Madoka had the chance to tell her about being a mamono hunter.
Kanzaki Azusa
She is the daughter of a of Madoka's. A few years younger than Yohko, came to the Mano house, hoping to be able to train with Yohko to become a mamono hunter. Azusa doesn't go to school like Yohko does. Madoka gave her a metal glove that Azusa wears on her left hand, which gives her the power to transform into a mamono hunter. She possesses the Spear of Fuma that she call to her when needed.
Mano Haruka
She was the first mamono hunter. Long ago, a powerful demon named Tokima, came to Earth. Her power comes from the Yoma ring that Yohko wears, and she possessed the Soul Sword also. Although long dead on Earth, in another space and time, she is still young and battling Tokima.
